why is it that....

Yes,, why is it that everytime i want to be quiet because Anika is asleep i make the most noise??? i bang into things, break plates, stub my toes blablabla... why????!!!!!????!!!!

i know some parents say that you have to get your child used to noise... but i seriously now think that they either dont care or do care. i think now that all kids are different and should be treated as such. i can do my damndest to try and not care about the noise etc but it won't work.... i have tried countless times.. she hates it when she is tired.... and gets grumpier and its harder to put her to bed.

It's been awhile.....

Well i have now found the time to write. Been trying to play with munchkin and knit at the same time. I am knitting her a doll. It... hopefully... is going to be awesome!

I have also decided that from now on when crafting I will be only using good quality materials. So, if that means paying 4 x as much for a ball of yarn... then so be it. The outcome is always sooooooooooooooooo much better when i have done it in the past. There is not doubt about it... the better the materials .. the better the product!!!!! So for the dolly, I am using Debbie Bliss's Baby Cashmerino. Needed around 4.5 balls ... a different colour for each... at 12.00 a ball... you can work it out... ouch! But soooooo worth it now that i am seeing the pieces that i am making.... soooooo soft. I didnt want to make her a doll that was itchy... you know?!?!?!?!

Seems like Anika's reflux isnt hurting her as much anymore! The spewing every 5 secs is still there. I havent been as good with giving her her medicine ... this is to see whether or not she might still need it and what the doctor advised.. So far she is doing well on less... so i will continue with that for a week and see how we go...

In the beginning.....

Well... this is my first post. Since reading many great blogs in the wee hours of the morning, (vision - square eyes with dark grey bags and me wearing my orange flannelette bee pyjamas) I have decided to start a blog as well. Though it will definitely not be as good as the ones I read.... I will give it a go.

Anika is sleeping now, so I have taken the chance to start..... wearing my orange flannelette bee pyjamas.... it's a sexy new look that my husband Dan gets to see when he gets home as well. Obviously they rarely come off. Poor him... in more ways than one. hehe.

All day today, I know I will think about when I can fit in a spot of crochet, sewing or craft. Hmmm, mama guilt sets in ... just because I want to find the time to do a spot of crafting. Well, I hope because she will grow up with me doing it, she will too. I daydream of the time I will get to teach her how to do embroidery or knit or crochet. Yay!
